We have been invited to come and see this privately funded hydro-electric generating plant.
As was said, if you buy an island in a river and with it comes a house you have great potential. Especially if it was also the site of an historic water mill.
We will be told of the history, the design criteria and challenges in obtaining the appropriate permits and also given details of the construction and then visit the site.
It generates enough electricity to be almost exporting electricity all of the time.

We will also be joined by members of the Midlands Mills Group.
Refreshments and a simple buffet will be provided on their picnic area on the island beside the generating house.
